BlackRock’s BUIDL fund brought a major asset manager directly into tokenized finance.
BlackRock’s USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund, known as BUIDL, was launched as the firm’s first tokenized fund and gives qualified investors blockchain-based exposure to a portfolio centered on U.S. Treasuries, cash, and repo agreements. That structure matters because it puts a recognizable Wall Street product on public blockchain rails rather than treating tokenization as a side experiment.
